I decided to update my website with all the stuff that I have been working on over the past years, some photo related, some not so much (it’s all going to be under some sort of “Experimental” headline). If you remember this post here, you’ll be familiar with a couple of the images now online under American Pixels. There
’s a bit of a “statement” technical notes about the whole thing here, where I’m trying not to explain anything other than how the process works and what it is doing (even though I’m sure theorists could read all kinds of stuff into this work).
But I’m noting what provided a large part of the motivation for doing this: Creating images that looked very real and very not-real at the same time, and doing it in a way that does not introduce anything random (OK, there is a very small random component, but that’s an input parameter).
